Our dog. This is the picture you get when I don’t want to put a picture of myself.

I have been in mathematics education for twenty-five years in various roles. I was a high school teacher in Fayetteville, Georgia for 9 years after earning a degree in mathematics and mathematics education from Kennesaw State University. While teaching, I earned an M.Ed. in mathematics education from Georgia State University. After teaching in Georgia, I attended the University of Georgia in mathematics education to work on a Ph.D. I learned a lot and expanded my thinking, but did not earn the degree. I worked for WestEd for four years and learned that my passion was in the classroom. I’m currently teaching in the east bay of the San Francisco area.

I am indebted to Michael, Ray, and David for keeping me sane. Pam, Barbara, Jim, Pat, Jeremy, Paola, Shandy, and Ted provided support and patience when sorely needed. I’m indebted to my colleagues and my students from who I constantly learn from daily.
